Maui, Hawaii Elopement Inspiration
Oh my word! I cannot believe we are here. We’re the middle of 2020 with a pandemic pausing all of our weddings and social events. It feels so strange and in some ways very depressing. What was supposed to be a very busy and exciting wedding season for me, has turned into a summer with zero weddings to date.
While it has felt strange and in someways peaceful to take a summer to be home, it has also lead to a summer of minimal content to share with you all! Aside from a couple of engagement shoots, family shoots, and graduation shoots, I have not been photographing much!
I did, however, sneak this gorgeous editorial in RIGHT before Covid hit the United States! I still am in awe that we were able to make this happen and the timing worked out so well. I’ve held onto it without sharing much because it was in the process of being published in Magnolia Rouge Magazine. Now that the publication is live, I am so excited to get to share these images with you.
Our inspiration for the shoot was the sunsets that happen in Maui. If you’ve witnessed a Maui sunset, you’d know that the colors start as a soft pink and then turn to a beautiful orange before retiring behind the coastline. The sand, water, and sky all work together to create magic. It’s something that once you see, you never forget.
